Ben Hoole (M.B.A., M.P.E.T., B.Comm.), like most professional artists, has been a multi-discipline creative for most of his life. Professionally, Ben worked primarily as a graphic, web and product designer for close to 2 decades, before transitioning to full-time mixed modality digital fine art several years ago.

Despite a 20+ year management education (he holds an undergraduate degree in commerce, a Master's degree in business administration and a Master's degree in professional education and training), Ben is largely self-taught as an artist, and chooses to work in small business and as an independent artisan, rather than in a corporate or large studio environment.

He works with a wide variety of digital 2d and 3d tools and techniques, including (among others) Lightwave 3d, Zbrush (digital sculpting), Corel Draw suite (graphic design), Corel Painter and Clip Studio Paint (digital painting) and Affinity Photo/ Designer (graphic design, digital painting). He has also always had a keen professional interest in photography and literature. Although he works across a wide variety of subject areas and in multiple styles, he characteristically strives to adapt traditional techniques to a digital workflow, alongside cutting-edge 3d/ CG tools and approaches. His work is typically both detailed and rich in painterly character.

Ben is a long-time martial artist and natural bodybuilder and has, for decades, studied heavily in the areas of consciousness, hypnosis, meditation and mindfulness (with areas of interest that include the effects of hypnotic/ mindfulness training on creativity and human performance). Ben lives in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia, with his wife and daughter (both also artists and martial artists).
